That’s about 9.4% higher than the average budget reported last year. The survey also found that more than half of all couples paid more than their original budget.

Not surprisingly, renting a venue was the biggest expense incurred by couples when getting married in Ireland. According to the survey, the average cost of renting a wedding venue in Ireland is €14,313. The survey even breaks down the average cost of engagement rings and wedding rings for Ireland weddings. On average, couples who got married in Ireland paid about €1,297 for their wedding rings and €2,436 for their engagement rings.

The Wedding Dress

Choosing the right wedding dress is important no matter where you get married, and Ireland is no exception. The survey found that couples spent an average of €1,814 for the bride’s wedding dress. That’s a little more expensive than the cost of a wedding dress in the United Kingdom, which statistics show is about £1,385.

Floral arrangements are relatively inexpensive in Ireland, with couples paying just €802 for their wedding flowers. In comparison, the average cost of wedding flowers in the United Kingdom is about £1,000.
